Show 1. A. JONES IS YALE'S COACH New Haven, Feb. 2. Official announcement an-nouncement was made tonight by a special committee from the Yalo Athletic Ath-letic association of the unanimous selection se-lection of T. A. D. Jones as head coach of the Yale football team for the next three years. Jones was graduated grad-uated in 1908. He was varsity quarterback quar-terback for three years and in his senior year was captain of the baseball base-ball team. For the past few years he has successfully coached the eleve of Phillips Exetr academy. Michael Sweeney, now at tho H5 school In Pennsylvania, was chosen i general athletic advisor to servo f 11)16-17. The committee did not malu public any financial details of either appointment. Upon motion of Captain Black of the eleven the association voted to appoint ap-point the following committee to have full charge of all football matters and to be responsible "only to the athletic ath-letic association and tho university authorities": au-thorities": Vance C. McCormlck '93; S. B. Boroe, '93; John R Kilpatrlck, '11; Joseph R, Swan, '02, and Walter Camp, '90. |
