Show oo BOISE INFANTRY IS AWAITING ORDERS. Boise, Idaho, June 25. There are twelve companies and 831 men in the Second Idaho Infantry mobilized here tonight at Camp Morrison. A lai:ge number of recruits came in during the day as the result of the preparedness meetings held in many parts of tho state the lntler part of last week. A total of ninety-one recruits has been received since the arrival of the regiment. regi-ment. Many more recruits aro expected ex-pected in Monday. Of the total number of men In camp, 250 have been given the physical physi-cal examination of the regular army, as required under the now law, effective ef-fective July 1. A number of new and old enlisted men .were dropped from the muster rolls because they failed to pass tho examination. There are eighteen officers of the regiment and eighteen enlisted men on recruiting details in many parts of the state Information was received at regimental regi-mental headquarters today by General Crow from Deputy Adjutant General Barrett at tho western headquarters at San Francisco to the effect that when the regiment moves south under orders it will be routed via Ogden and the Southern Pacific to the border. oo |
