Friday afternoon Miss AUa Nielsen entertained at a Kensington at her home in Huntsville in honor of Miss Ruby Stratford of Pocatello, tho house guest of Maud Stratford of Ogden. The rooms were artistically decorated decorat-ed with a profusion of wild flowors. After spending a delightful social hour, luncheon was served. Those present were the Misses Vina Nielsen, Phyllis Borlin, Alice Smith, Rae Lofgreen, Lizzie Lofgreen, Lillian Lil-lian Felt and Alta Nielsen of Huntsville; Hunts-ville; Miss Maud Stratford of Ogden and Miss Ruby Stratford of Pocatello. INFORMAL RECEPTION. Rev. Carver and Mrs. Carver will entertain at an informal reception at the Presbyterian church tonight at 8 o'clock to which members of the congregation and their friends are bidden. QUIVIVE GIRLS CLUB. Friday, Juno 23, tho "Quiyive" Girls club met at tho home of Miss Esther Tlsdale, The evening wan onjoyed at sewing and entertainment and later a dainty luncheon was served. Tho 1916 500 Club mot with Mrs. Lena Preece at her home on Canyon Road, Thuraday, June 22, election of officers being held. Mrs. Ludwig, president; Mrs. Wat-kins, Wat-kins, vico president; Mrs. Varney, secretary-correspondent, and Mrs. Fellows, ro-olected treasurer. Several games of 600 were enjoyed, honors being received by Mrs. Luddlngton. Mrs. Baumeister and Mrs. Watkins. The club guest was Mrs. Harris and the hostess prepared a delightful luncheon. BIddle and two daughters have returned to their home, 123 Thirtieth stroet, after considerable con-siderable time spent in California. Mr. Biddle was ill in the San Francisco hospital for eleven weeks and is friends in this city wish for him a speedy recovery. MIRIAM CHAPTER. Miriam Chapter, O. E. EMPEY-WILSON WEDDING. The marriage of Miss Maude Empey and Edward Everett Wilson was solemnized sol-emnized last Thursday, June 22, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Empey, 1917, Park avenue, ave-nue, only members of the Immediate families witnessing the ceremony. The bride was attractive in a gown of white messaline combined with Georgette crepe, and her bride's maid, IMiss Florence Stratton, wore a pretty pret-ty gown of white silk. They carried pink and white roses. The groom was attended by his brother, M. L. Wilson, as best man. Following the wedding ceremony, refreshments were served, covers being laid for about twenty seven guests. Both Mr. and Mrs. Wilson have many friends in Ogden who extend their best wishes for a happy future. Mr. Wilson Is the son of Mrs. Rhoby Roberts of this city, and is an employe em-ploye of C. J. Humphris. MEET ON WEDNESDAY. The Silver Bee Club will meet Wednesday at 2 o'clock with Mrs. Dana, 767 Twenty-seventh street. BIRTHDAY SURPRISE,. A very pleasant birthday surprise was given Miss Dora Varney in honor of her Twelfth birthday on June 20th. Although much surprised, Miss Varney proved herself a royal entertainer. Games of many lands were enjoyed including a peanut hunt. All enjoyed a buffet luncheon. The room was decorated with carnations and roses. Those present were Charlotte Griffin, Grif-fin, Katherine Heyman, Norma Jones, Mary Clements, Alice Giralin, Marian Qimlin, Barbara Pall, Eva Varney, Nellie Nel-lie Varney, Leone Call, JZelma Call and Nora Varney, RETURN FROM TRIP. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Christy and Mr and Mrs. Aaron Ross have returned home from Lost Creek where they spent a couple of days fishing. HOSTESS TO NEDGO CLUB.
