Show EAGLES TO PAY DUES OF MEMBERS 1 THE GUARDS On Saturday, Ogden Aerie No. 118, Fraternal Order of Eagles, passed the following resolutions in behalf of Troop B: . "Whereas; President Wilson has called Troop B, 1st Cavalry, National Guard of Utah, to assist in upholding our Sovereign Rights and In maintain ing the dignity and honor of our nation, na-tion, and; "Whereas; Troop B, 1st Cavalry, National Na-tional Guard of Utah, is composed prinlcaplly of men with families, or mothers dependent on them and; "Whereas; A number of our loyal and patriotic business Institutions have voluntarily offered to their employes em-ployes regular salary during enlistment enlist-ment for the present active service, and on their return, the same or better bet-ter positions. Now therefore be it Resolved: That Ogden Aerie No. 188, Fraternal Order of Eagles, composed com-posed of 680 patriotic and public spirited spir-ited citizens of Ogden and vicinity, do most earnestly appeal to all commercial com-mercial institutions of Ogden, to pay all employes who have enlisted, or who may enlist for active Bervlco In Mexico, such amount as will, in addition addi-tion to the salary paid them by tho United States government, equal their income while in the service of such business firm And especially do we ask that these conditions apply to employes em-ployes who have wives, children, or a mother dependent on them for support. sup-port. Be It further "Resolved: That Ogden Aerie No. 118, Fraternal Order of Eagles, do recommend and request all loyal Eagles to give preference in business dealings to those firms who signify their willingness to abide by these resolutions, the names of which will be published promptly as received by our secretary- Bo it further "Resolved: That Ogden Aerie No. 118, F. O. E., pay all dues and assessments assess-ments as are required to keep in good standing, those members who have enlisted, en-listed, or who may enlist, thereby keeping them eligible to draw sick or death benefits, during the time of active service in Mexico.
