Show ISAAC P. DECKER DIES IN PROVO Provo, Jan. 24 Isaac Perry Decker, Deck-er, one of the original Utah pioneers who entered Salt Lake valley with President Brigham Young July 24, 1847, died here from general debility today, at the home of his son, former Mayor C. F. Decker Mr. Decker was 75 years of age. He was born at "Winchester, Scott county, Illinois, and was tho son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Decker. Mr Decker was 7 years of ago when he made tho trip across the plains to Utah, coming with his mother and two sisters, the latter being Mrs. C'ara Decker Young and Mrs. Lucy Deckor Young. His father came In a later company. Of the original company, there are only two others now living W. C. A. Smoot of Sugar-house, Sugar-house, Salt Lake county, and So-biskie So-biskie Young of Ferron. Emery county Mr. Decker Is survived by the following fol-lowing children: C. F. Decker and Feramorz Decker of Provo, Mrs. "W. E. Brown of Blackfoot, Idaho; Joseph Decker of the Decker-Patrick company. com-pany. Salt Lake; Le Ray, Roy and Ira O. Decker of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and numerous grandchildren. One sister survives him; she is Mrs. Plarriet Hanks of Salt Lake. |
