Show JUDGE JOHNSON IS 10 QUALIFY . Salt Lake, Nov. 16. Tillman D. Johnson, the newly appointed judge of the United States district court for Utah, will qualify either the last of the week or next Monday morning early by being sworn in, and will then take his seat and proceed with the calendar at 10 o'clock. Judge Johnson spent part of yesterday yester-day at the federal building. He examined ex-amined his chambers, the courtroom and other quarters for the court at laches. Some of his friends happened around and congratulated him. IXo official of-ficial act has yet been performed by him nor will any be until he .takes the oath of office. The grand jurors havo been summoned sum-moned for the most part to appear in court Monday morning, November 23. , and not November 22, as has been cr V roneously seated. Petit jurors will , not be summoned until the court ' needs them. The first week will b; ' taken up in hearing motions and demurrers. de-murrers. Either party may call up for hearing any motion or demurrer on the calendar. Northern divisfoa cases will not be heard In Salt Lake except upon stipulation. |
