The first public meeting of the new Society For Promoting Mutual Friendly Relations between Russia and America, was in every way a success. suc-cess. The largo hall in which the meeting was held was crowded. The general trend of the addresses which were warmly applauded, was to the effect that America was able to exert great influence upon the war because of her economic power, and that Russia could profit from a study of American ideas and policies.
