Show JOHM W. F. VOLKER AT HEAD OF LUMBERMEN John W F. Volker, head of the Vol-ker Vol-ker Lumber company of Ogden," was elected president or the Utah Lumbermen's Lum-bermen's association at Its annual meeting, held Saturday in Salt Lake City He succeeds S. L Billings in the office. Oother officers elected were Brlghnm Monson of Brlgham City, vice president. Lewis Taylor of Ogdeu, secretary and treasurer; E. J Warner of Tooele, and John A Jex of Spanish Fork, directors. The meeting was held at the Hotel IWaJi and was attended by lumbermen from all parts of the state. Addresses Address-es by the new president, the retiring president and V. H. Esworthy of Salt Lake were among the features of the program and In addition to the regular regu-lar business of the mooting, a com mittee was appointed to make plans for the midsummer outing of the as soctatlon. This committee is composed of F J Merrill of Brtghani City, W. H. Es- worthy of Salt Lake, Brigham Moo son of BriRhum City, R J. Whipple of American Fork and John A. Jex of Spanish Fork The outing will probably be held either in Ogden or Provo canyon and the committee will make an effort to enlist all of the lumbermen In the state in the association asso-ciation and urge them to participate in the midsummer celebration. |
