Show MOTOR RACING 0A5E IS HEARD IN THE POLICE COURT The case of the City V6. John Hoxer, Jr., was taken up in municipal court this morning. The defendant was charged with having exceeded the legal speed limit on a motorcycle on March 30. He pleaded guilty to the charge and, it being his second offense, was fined $10. According to the testimony in the case, Hoxer and a youth named Williams were raclug their machines eastward on Twenty-fifth Twenty-fifth street, when tho former ran into a small boy on roller skates. The boy was knocked down but not injured in-jured and Hoxer stopped and picked him up. Both motorcyclists were arrested shortly afterward by Officer Roast and Williams had his case taken under un-der advisement several days ago. This morning the judgo sentenced him to pay a $5 flno. F. E. McGurrln forfeited $20 hall for falling to appear in answer to a charge of breaking tho speed limit on the county road. In an automobile. He was halted yesterday at North Ogden, by Deputy Sheriff Holmes. nrx |
