Show PERSONAL URY CASE IS BEING , HEARD . In Judge N J Harris' division of the district court this morning hearting hear-ting or the personal injury case of Caroline Car-oline White, administratrix of the estate es-tate of William White, deceased, against the American Express company compa-ny et aL, was resumed. The suit is for $10,000 for the death of Mr. White, alleged to have been caused by being run over by one of the express company's wagons on' Twenty-fourth street, near ' Hudson avenue, a year ago J. E. Ballantyne testified that ho saw the express wagon run over Mr White, saying that the driver did not stop to learn whether the old gentle man was injured. Mr Ballantyne said that a number of mortar boxes were along the curb line of the street where I tho accident happened, and that th wagon wheel passed over the comer of one of them. He saw Mr. White rushing to get away from the express i uagon and was on the ground when Mr White was picked up. oo |
