SAMUEL C. POWELL NOW A LAWYER Samuel C Powell, son of S. J. Poweil of 2460 Madison avenue, has just been adised of having successfully success-fully pased the bar examination at Washington. D. C. He is a graduate of the Ogden high school, having completed com-pleted a scientific course in 1911 He entered Notre Dame School of Law the following year, but was compelled to leave there at the end of the first year on account of illness. When he recovered his health, he registered at the University of Pennsylvania and after two years there, completed his course at the Georgetown university at Washintgon. He has receh ed many congratulations congratula-tions from his Ogden friends on his success, as only about one-half of those who took the examination passed successfully. on
