Show 'ill. J. SHEflLY HEAD OF THE MASONS IN THIS STATE William J Shealy was elected Grand Master of the Utah Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Order of Masons, yesterday yes-terday afternoon at the annual Grand Lodge election which was held in the Masonic Temple. Mr. Shealy was a former resident of Ogden, but now lives In Salt Lake City. The other officers elected are as follows Charles S. Griggs of Eureka, deputy grand master; Charles F Jennings of Salt Lake City, senior grand warden; H. R Mc Millan. Salt Lake City . junior grand warden, Richard L. Conely, Salt Iike City, grand treasurer; Free- j man A. McCarty, Salt Lake City, I grand secretary. Within a few minutes after the election, elec-tion, the new grand master announced thf appointment of the following other officers: Rov. J. E. Carver. Ogden, grand r-haplaln . Fred M. Nye, Ogden, senior grand deacon; Wynn T. Eddy. Salt Lake City, junior grand deacon; A. R. Hey wood, chairman of Jurisprudence Jurispru-dence committee; Rev. J. E, Carver, chairman library' committee. All of the officers were installed at the closing session in the evening, at which time Weber lodge No. 6 xem-pllfird xem-pllfird the degree work of the order. Four of the officers, W. J. Shealy H R. McMillan. Fred M. Nye and J. E. Carver are members of Weber lodge No. 6 and this evidence of the strength of that order in Ogden was the subject of considerable comment, j oo I |
