Show uu Deaths and Funerals SIPRELLE The funeral of Kenneth Ken-neth H. Siprelle will be held tomor row at 1 P m. in the Wilson ward meeting house. The interment will be made in the Ogden City cemetery. ST A PL E MA N Oscar V: Staplcman, the six months old son of Oscar and Minnie Riley Stapleman of 2367 Ad ams avenue, died at the residence yesterday evening. The funeral announcements an-nouncements will be made later. LAVENDER The body of Annie K Lavender, who died at Lewiston, Idaho Thursday night. Is expected to arrive in Ogden at 5:30 p m. today to-day and will be taken to the Llnd-qulst Llnd-qulst mortuary, Mrs Lavender was born in Denmark, April 14, 1S28 and emigrated to America when a youns woman The funeral announcements will be made later. SALT Funeral services for John WaldroD Salt were held in the Third ward meeting house yesterday afternoon, after-noon, with Bishop Myron B Richard son presiding The meeting house was taxed to its capacity to hold the relatives and many friends of the deceased, for his many years of service ser-vice In the ward as a teacher had won him the sincere regard of the people. The Woodmen of tho World lodge, of which he was a member, attended the service in a body and man of Mr. Salt's fellow employes iiuui Mir cMjui inTii i .n ine raiiroan were also present. In addition to this mark of respect, tho love of many members of the congregation was shown in the numerous floral pieces which were banked on the bier and In front of the chancel rail. The speakers were John Hill, Judge J. H. Howell. President James Wother-spoon, Wother-spoon, Bishop's counselor Ellas S King and Bishop Richardson Each one eulogised the life of the deceased as baring been one of love and service ser-vice to his fellow men and the churchmen church-men also spoke along doctrinal line-. Robert Greenwell sang "The Shepherd King"; Lucille Williams sang "O, M; Father'' and "Sometime, Somewhere"; Mrs. Bessie W. Millard sang "Hfl Leadeth Me," and the Misses Iris and Clara Bowns sing "My Father Knows " The Woodmen of the World led tho cortege to the city cemetery' and held their ritual service at the I grave. The grave was dedicated" by Elias S. King. PEN ROD The funeral of Mrs. Lu-cene Lu-cene B Penrod was held yesterday noon in the East Layton meeting house. Bishop M. F Adams presided pre-sided and the speakers were Robert L. Bybee, J. S. Adams, Lester By bee, Bishop Holt of South Jordan and President Jesse Smith Robert Berkln sang "Sometime, Somewhere,' and "There Is No Death," and the ward choir sang several appropriate hymns. The interment was made in the Kaysville cemetery, the grave being be-ing dedicated by President Jes.v Smith |
