Show Great Britain Denies. London, Oct 6, 8:33 p. m. The official of-ficial press bureau tonight issued a statement declaring "absolutely untrue" un-true" the allegations made by Professor Profes-sor Harnack and other prominent Germans that Great Britain had stored quantities of ammunition at thG French fortress of Maubeuge, before the outbreak of the war. The Germans claimed this was evldenco England intended to violate the neutrality of Belgium. The statement adds. "No decision to send British forces abroad was taken till after Germany had violated Belgian neutrality and Belgium had appealed for assistance. No British ammunition or stores had been placed at Maubeuge before these J e ents." oo |
