Show 0D0 FELLOWS HOLD 1ST SUCCESSFUL conn The conventions of the Odd Fellows grand lodge of Utah and the Rebekah assembly, which have proven one of the most notable events In tho history his-tory of the both state lodges and the Ogden lodge In particular, were closed clos-ed with an open session last night In tho Knights of Pythias hall, with Chairman J. J. Brummltt of the Ogden Og-den committee presiding. At tho meeting addresses were made by Past Grand Master W. I. Snyder and Grand Secretary P. A. Simpkin. The former spoke on "Universal "Uni-versal Odd Fellowship" and the subject sub-ject of the latter's address was "Tho Golden Day." Both were full of sincerity sin-cerity and Interest and kept the gathering gath-ering in close attention. A humorous recitation entitled "When He Joined the Odd Fellows," given by Mrs. Hamer and tho singing sing-ing of "That's How 1 Need You" combined com-bined with the excellent service of an orchestra in giving variety to tho program, as woll as entertainment to the audience. It was estimated that nearly 400 members of tho two orders attended the convention and most of thoso from out of town loft for their homos last night |
