Show DAMAGES AWARDED FOR DEATH OF HORSE William Fife of the Dee Livery company com-pany wbb awarded $250 damages against Arthur Evans In the munlcl. pal court yesterday afternoon. The judgment was given by Judge A. C. Gordon, who was acting In place of the regular judge of the court. The case has been before the court for a number of months and the suit for damages was for the death of a horse, which EvanB was alleged to have overdriven on the July 4, last year. In the testimony, It was said that the defendant drove the horse from Ogden to Huntsvlllc and return and that it dropped dead on a street in Ogden near the foothills. Evans claimed that he had not overdriven the animal, but that it had died from natural causes. It Is probable that the case will be appealed to the district dis-trict court. |
