Show EDWARD M'GRATH IS BANQUETED AT THE POTTER At the Potter caie last night 34 Railway Mail clerks gave a banquet j in honor of Superintendent Edward McGrath of San Francisco. An elaborate spread waa furnished and the mall men mado merry around. Interesting talks were given by Toastmaster Alfred Saxey, Superintendent Super-intendent McGrath, Chief Clerk W. F. Bangasser and others, and general discussion of railway mall offices was entered Into by all present In his brief talk, Mr McGrath stated stat-ed that the fixing of a terminal at Ogden meant the oistrbution of $25,-000 $25,-000 a year ln salaries here, besides the establishment of homes In the city by men and their families engaged en-gaged ln the work He compliment ed the Ogden force, and said that the city was fortunate in getting mail service headquarters. Mr McGrath Is looked upon as a trail blarer in the mail service and well thought of by the men associated associat-ed with him The committeemen In charge of the banquet last night were J C Livingston, Livings-ton, Herbert Snyder, W. H Thatch er and Ueo Winchester. |
