Show MUOSKEY MUST PAY $225 TO WIDOW Columbus, O., Nov. 15.' According to a ruling handed down tonight by tho National Board of Arbitration, the Supreme Court of Minor Leaguo baseball, John J. McCloskey, man-ager man-ager of the Salt Lake team of the Union association last year, must pay to Mrs. W. H. Lucas, widow of the late president of the National association as-sociation the sum of $225 on a note signed by him before he can connect himself with any club in organized baseball. Among other rulings handed down tonight was one allowing a claim of 5130 to Player Meikle against the Seattle club of tho Northwestern league. The board held that in awarding the 1913 pennants to the Chilllcotho. Ohio, club of the Ohio state league, and to the Jackson, Miss., club of the Cotton states league, directors of the two organizations acted in accordance ac-cordance with baseball law. The cases came . up on. appeal from the Pensacola, Fla., club of the Cotton states league, and the Charleston, W. - V,-u, club of the Ohio state league. , In another ruling by the board a James A. Hamilton of Toledo, O., I was fined $100 and tho Ponsacola club ?50 for collusion in giving to I Hamilton a release under which ho 1 joined the Charleston club of the g South Atlantic league and attempted 1 later to play with the Charleston club I of the Ohio state league.
