Show JOHN W. COONS. PIONEER. Richfield, Jan 23 John W. Coons of this place died this morning at 1 o'clock He was born in Bethle hem, lov. a, December 7. 18F.3, and came to Utah with his parents ln 1865 and settled iu Provo valley, then came to Sevier county m 1872, where he has since resided. Mr. Coons was married to Eliza Ann Ogilvle January 25, IS75. je was a member of the Mormon church and an ardent worker, especially enjoying en-joying Sunday school work. He filled a mission in the northern states for two years. He was deputy sherlrf for six years and was elected sheriff sher-iff sen times, serving fourteen ears for Sevier county. He is survived by his wife and five sons and three uoufciiLL-i a. i 1 icy arc Mr. G W. Coons Mrs. Ardena Ence, Mrs. W. Lawsom Mrs. C. Ogden, Charles Coons, Jay f'oons, Edmund Coons and Brozell Coons All were at the bedside when their father passed away. At Anuabella this morning at 6 o'clock Mrs Kstella Huntsman Spar-ford, Spar-ford, wife of W. N Spafford, passed away Mrs Spafford was horn in Fillmore January 24, 1863 She leaves the husband and four children, Mrs. Claud Sampson, Mrs. H, Knight, Carl G. Spafford and Miss Reua Spat ford. |
