Jan. 24 The raid of the Federal league on baseball play rs is not going to bo confined to the United States, for President Gilmore is planning to sign several Cubnn players President Gilmore of the league, and Secretary McCullOUgh ot the Pittsburgh Federal League club have both written to Pep Conte, the Cuban correspondent, who spends hi3 summers here following the doings ot the two major leagues and more par ticularly the work of the Cuban ball players who are now playing here.
