Show CHARGES MADE AGAINST SPEER Judge Claims He Has Been More Defamed Than Any Other Man on the Bench. Macon, Ga., Jan. 24. Charges that he had shown favoritism to A. H. Heyward. his son-in-law, m cases in-vohing in-vohing fees, moved Federal Judge Emory Speer, under investigation here by a cqnpressional committee, to again interrupt the proceedings today. Jumping to his feet apparently forgetful of the ruling of the committee com-mittee that lie would not be permitted per-mitted to speak in his own behalf. Judge Speer exclaimed. "T have bean defamed as no other judge was ever defamed I ask this committee to see to it that all tin-true tin-true facts are brought out -o that the public mav understand them." R.
