Show COMMUNICATIONS MUST BE SIGNED. Anonymous letters published in the Sentinel of Missoula, Montana, have brought much embarrassment lo the editor of that paper and, as a rcBult, the announcement is made that hereafter here-after no communications- will be received re-ceived unless properly signed. The best papers are getting away from the anonymous Avriter. Tho Standard for years has refused to publish unsigned communications and consistently has discouraged the printing of letters, the authors or which refused to attach their real names. No one who has a message worth while hesitates lo subscribe to the samo In his own name, and a newspaper news-paper should require the signing of communications as a meaiiB of exacting ex-acting a square deal all around. |
