Wheat failed to hold an advance which today resulted re-sulted from a les favorable crop outlook out-look In western Europp. Opening prices pri-ces ere 18 to l-4c higher and there Aas a slight further gain, but the market mar-ket then receded below last night's level. Mild weather had a bearish effect on corn, more than neutralizing .an early upturn due to sympathy with temporary wheat strength. Price? started a shade to l-8(S;i-4c higher and after hardening a trifle, underwent under-went a decided sag. Oats merely reflected the changing sentiment regarding other grain. After opening unchanged to 2 l-2c lower, the provision market gradualh declined. Lightness of primary wheat re ceipts tended later to check the bear? The close was steady, the same as last night, to a decline of a shade. Firmness of cable helped to rally the corn market some, but not in a lasting manner.
