Show YOUNG SON OF H.H.SPENCER DEAD I r After an Illness of pleuro-pneumon ia. extending over a period of 10 days, Hiram Harwood Spencer, famlllarh known to his numerous friends as "HI," died this morning at s 4 O'clock at the home of his sister. Mrs Alexander Walker 50.", Adams avenue. aven-ue. He was the youngest child of Mr and Mrs II H Spencer, who are prostrated pros-trated with grief. Nev. I Hiram Spencer was born In Ogden January 20, 1894. and. with the exception excep-tion of a few visits awav from the city, has resided here all his life. H-was H-was a member of the senior c lass the Ogden High school and was one of the most popular young men in j town His unfailing cheerfulness and Optimism, as well as his ability to en tertaln, made him a favorite ambitious ambi-tious to become a writer he had plan- J ned to enter the University of Call 1 fornla at Berkeley next fall and for two years he had demonstrated his iibllltles by becoming a contributor: to the "Dramatic Mirror" Upon learning of his death Principal Princi-pal Henry Peterson of the High school called a special assembly and there acquainted the student body with the I sad news The announcement cast a gloom over his classmates and friends and committees were at once organized organiz-ed to arrange for a floral offering The members of the faculty also e pressed their intention of offering a floral tribute Upon t h- daj of the funeral the students will attend in n body Funeral arrangements have nor been made, but will be dnlv annonnc- d " I on |
