Show SQUIRE COOP TALKSJN MUSIC Before the members of the Child Culture club yesterday. Professor Squire Coop gave an able talk on music and Its relation to the education educa-tion of children. Education In Music" was the topic and the talk was given at the residence resi-dence of Mrs. Parley Wright. 614 Tweuty-third street. The meeting was well attended and proved to be one of the most successful in the his-tor his-tor of the club Professor Coop advocated the cultivation cul-tivation or good music In children as opposed to the cheap and unworthy that Is so general at this time and he asserte,J that a child's education in this direction is as necessary as the learning of regular school lessons To illustrate points in his talk. Mr. Coop played selections by Mendelssohn Mendels-sohn and Schumann with his rare Interpretation, In-terpretation, bringing out the beauty that lies in the note?. Ho plaed "Silver Threads Among the Gold." which was sung by all present and gave another object lesson for the speaker.
