Show CALLED UP THE PATROL FOR HIMSELF The desk sergeant was surprised when he answered a telephone call shortly after 1 o'clock this afternoon to hear a voice stuttering and stammering stam-mering that a drunken man was parading pa-rading the streets and should be arrested. ar-rested. The oiee was insistent that the patrol wagon should he calle.i without delay and that the drunk should be arrested. When Patrolman Ra kham went to the place where the call came from he found H H. Hamilton, who appeared ap-peared to be the only Intoxicated man around and the patrolman promptly arrcfted him Hamilton loudly asserted that he was the man who had called up the station and the person to be arrested arrest-ed was another. Tho patrolman concluded that the man who did the telephoning demanded de-manded the ;. Mention of the police, and the fellow was sent to the station sta-tion whore a charge of drunkenness drunken-ness was placed against him. |
