OCR Text	Show ONE MAN KILLED deadly missed hole la encountered by two at mercur salt lake jan 15 joseph joseph Is dead and thoron singleton Is seriously injured ae the result of the explosion of a 13 hole at the abandoned hickory mine at milford sunday attori Loon the men prospecting li the vicinity of the abandoned mine when one of the miners picks struck a tor gotten dynamite charge that had probably lain intact for years the concussion caused a terrific explosion aej both prospectors prospect orB were hurled high in the air by the discharge A huge mass of rock fell on joseph and he suffered internal injuries singleton had daveral bones broken but warf not fatally hurt the explosion attracted several men working in that vicinity and uie injured men were taken to the holy cross hospital in this city joseph died early yesterday morning at the hospital the remains were taken to the undertaking parlors of S D evans anil will be sent to today for burial singleton though seriously injured will live but the hospital physicians stated late last night that ho would probably be crippled for life
