VARIETY OF WEATHER san francioco Franc toco has rain snow and hall in one day san francisco jan 13 san francisco and the bay experienced an unusual variety of weather today rom a realistic touch of winter to tho balminess 0 summer rain snow hail and sunshine alternated with re kable rapidity throughout tho day snow capped the twin peaks and light hurries occurred in portions ol 01 the city was covered with a heavy mantle of snow all day in places the drifts were eight and ten inches deep the berkeley hills and the ranges of alameda county were covered and snow fell in the towns the snow flurry was felt to a considerable extent in san mateo county and further down tho peninsula alto was covered by a thin ot abow early la the morning and a heavier fall in the hills back of the campus of stanford university gave rise to the sport of the collegians of that institution tho thermometer registered as low as 37 degrees today and the experts of the weather bureau expected snow it Is predicted that the weather will remain cold with a possibility of enow
