RAILWAY CO TRACTS NEAR POWER HOUE ARE BOUGHT survey for enlarging power dam Is completed improvements contemplated from tuesdays standard the utah light railway company has purchased iron the union pacific company several pieces of land in the vicinity of their power house at the mouth ot the canyon the deeds were filed in tho county recorders office yesterday inquiry oe R W wad ot the power company if the purchase was 0 any special significance brought out the tact that for ten years the power company had been purchasing the land by yearly payments and that abo payments on the land transferred yesterday having been all made the property was transferred to the purchasers it was thought that the purchase might have had something to do with the proposed enlarging ot the dam in tho canyon and that perhaps a new power house was to bo bunt while talking about the purchase mr wade said that the survey tor the enlarging of the power dam had been completed and that he was going tp salt lake with the plans and that upon his return he could say just what changes to bo made some time ago mr wade said that the power dam was to be raised five feet which would greatly increase th borso power generated and consequently increase the volume of business done by the company in this section
