the santa fe hospital in this city STRIKE IN AMERICAN FORK the strike reported a few days ago as having been made in the silver glance property in american fork canyon Is now claimed by J H wooten manager to be the biggest thing that has been struck in the district since the boom days of years ago tho strike was made at a depth of only fourteen feefe from the surface where a ledge carrying seven feet of galena ore assaying high in silver and gold as well as lead was un coverer cove reu so well did the proposition look that tho operator decided to renew work in an old tunnel farther down the hill that was headed in the direction of the ore that was uncovered above this in aider to gain depth without being put to the expense of sinking a shaft in this old tunnel the men who drove it had encountered a ledge in which good ore was found it pinched out however and they kept driving ahead in the hope of it again mr wooten and his associates began prospecting in the tunnel where the former operators lost the ore it was quickly discovered that what had been supposed to be the wall of the ledge was nothing more than a thin slip which had cut oft the ore the face is now in a mass of
