members of the city council and against the county commissioners for damages the suit grows out of the destruction of aleh in provo river last june when the canal simultaneously diverted all ot the waters ot the river into the canals and left a large quantity of fish estimated in the complaint at tons in the river bed to die for want of water the city and county officials obtained sufficient water from the canal companies to wash the dead elsh to the lake and it Is charged that the fish were allowed to accumulate near the resort which resulted in such a stench being created that patrons
