Show oo EIGHT MEN ON FOREST SURVEY Assistant foresters of the national forest 'service department, S. S. Stow-art Stow-art and J. W. Stokes, left the city yesterday evening for St. Anthony, Ida., where they will Join six other foresters in tho work of investigation pertaining to timber conditions on the Targhee forest Mr. Stewart will have supervision of the reconnoissance work for the summer. Tho object of the trip in that section sec-tion Is to determine the extent of the timber areas and also the quantity and quality of tho timber available. The eight men will spend the entire summer sum-mer gathering data for the forest department, de-partment, the report in the fall to be mado to Assistant District Forester O. M. Butler, who is at the head of the silviculture department with headquarters head-quarters In Ogden. |
