The drama Is one that Is full of heart Interest, and it is admirably handled by the Empire Stock cam-pany, cam-pany, which haa been greatly strengthened within recent days by the addition of two stars. Miss Geraldine Wright, direct from a stock company in San Francisco, Is playing leading parts with the Em-piro Em-piro company now, and Hal J. Beane, formerly connected with the Orpheum Stock company in Salt Lake, la the new leading man at the Lyceum. The play as presented Monday night Is worth seeing. The parts are well handled by the players, and the production pro-duction Is rendered still more pleasing pleas-ing by the excellent work of tho Lyceum Ly-ceum theater orchestra. 00 Tho proposal of the secretary of the interior to utilize equipment now In use on tho Isthmus of Panama in building a railway in Alaska has taken tak-en the shape of a bill prepared by Secretary Fisher and introduced in the house of representatives last week by Congressman Sulzer of New York.
