The spirit of true manhood, ivhich resents a wrong, and the j independence which bids a man stand up for his rights, are being j discredited by those who are directly or indirectly profiting by j special privilege, but the average citizen is today so well informed as not to be slow to discern the motive of the special pleaders on the fallacy of their obsequious appeal. The people are not cowards. They are for right, cost what it may. There must come a day of reckoning and it might just as well be today as tomorrow. The men of today should face the problems of today and j solve them for all time, rather than defer and pass the burdens to their children. |
