Show oo SAVEL GETS JUDGMENT IN COURT Tho default of tho defendant, L. L. Bradley, In the suit of Guy Savel against Bradley and the Southern Pacific company et al, was entered last evening in Judge Howell's court and subsequently judgmont for the plaintiff was rendored amounting to ?1.000 and costs. Tho action was brought to recover possession of a shipment of sheep from Nevada, the plaintiff claiming that tho sheep had been surreptitiously surrepti-tiously taken from him and shipped toward an eastern market, no payment pay-ment for tho valuo of the sheep having hav-ing beon made. Savel had the shipment intercepted intercept-ed at Ogden and commenced an action ac-tion for the recovery of the stock. Other parties in Salt Lake became Involved and there was considerable controversy aB to whether Mr Savel was entitled to the custody of the Bheep. tho matter finally being decided de-cided in his favor. He soon afterwards after-wards sold the sheep in the east and returned to Ogden yestorday when he naked for the default judgment, tho defendants having failod to appear ap-pear at the time designated to controvert con-trovert the question of damages. |
