Long, goneral manager of the Pennsylvania Railroad company, hero today over tho situation situa-tion arlBlng out of tho refusal of the representatives of tho employes to arbitrate ar-bitrate tho question regarding tho omploymont of steam railroad men on electric lines between New York city and Newark, N. J The "electric" issue has caused much friction and tho committee under un-der authority of a voto cast by the men, may declare a strike unless the matter is amicably settled. It Is said that about 25,000 men are Involved on tho lines of the company east of Pittsburg and Erie oo |
