Show SISTER OF JOS. f. S1THJS DEAD Brigham City, June 29. Yesterday morning Mrs. Jorusha Smith Pierce died at her home in Harper, three 1 nines north of this city. Mrs. Pierce was tho wife of a prominent farmer at that place. She was the daughter of the late Patriarch Smith of the Mormon church and a sister of President Pres-ident Joseph F Smith. Funeral services were held yesterday yester-day over the remains of Glen Chris-tofferson, Chris-tofferson, five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. N. S Christofferson, residing south of the city The body of Mrs. D. T. Wells, who died in Salt Lake City early in the week was brought to this city yesterday yes-terday morning for burinl Mrs. Wells was a former resident of this city, removing to Salt Lake a year ago. She was born In the state capital 51 years ago, but had resided near Coi-linston Coi-linston many years prior to coming to Brigham. The cause of death was Bright's disease. She was a sister of the late Hyrum Standing, a newspaper newspa-per man of this city, who died a few weeks ago Services were held at 11 o'clock in the First ward chapel, after which Interment took place in the city cemetery. Tho remains were accompanied to this city by Mr. Wells and children. |
