Show VERNAL MAS A VERY BRIGHT FUTURE Upon his return from the Ashloy forest District Forester E. A. Sherman Sher-man is much enthused over conditions condi-tions in the Vernal section. He states that that country is bound to become one of the leading agricultural agricul-tural sections in the state and that tho varied mineral and other re-aoures re-aoures will make Uintah county great in many respects. The timber belt lying northeast of Ashey valley, is of large porportions and will be of great benefit to the "home builders there. There arc large deposits of coal in the Ashley valley and the streets of Vernal aro paved with asphaltum taken from tho asphalt beds of that section. Aside from this, there are vast tracts of land that are irrlglble and also there is an ample supply of water available for Irrigation purposes. pur-poses. It will cost considerable money to take the Irrigation water fiom some of tho streams, but tho Investment will be returned by tho splendid farms that will be developed. |
