Tho Wertz family fam-ily association, Incorporated in Illinois, Illi-nois, has encountered a serious obstacle ob-stacle in Its attempt to gain possession posses-sion of the $300,000,000 estate of Paul Wertz In Germany, according to a letter received in Chicago from Mtb. Estelle Ryan Snyder, president of the association, who is now in Germany looking out for the family interests. The county court at Hamburg, according ac-cording io the letter, has refused to permit hc association to onter its suit under the privilege accorded to tho poor that of withholding court costs until the settlement of the litigation. liti-gation. The court held that it was not compoteut to decide the case and suggested that suit be instituted in Amsterdam, Holland. The suit was brought in the name of u Miss Wirgcs, said to be the old member of the association who can prove that she Is a lineal descendant of Field Marshal Paul Wertz. who amassed the millions that are now being made the subject of court action.
