Show Unknown Negro Attacks White Woman Near Her Home Seattle, Wash , July 1. All tho negro ne-gro soldiers of the four companies of the Twenty-fifth Infantry, the Brownsville regiment, stationed at Fort Lawtou, aro confined to quarters In an effort to Identify a soldier who Is alleged to havo attacked Mrs. F. Pratt, a white woman, In front of her home at Twenty-first avenue West and Thomas street Saturday night. Mrs. Pratt said sho was followed by a negro soldier about 10:30 p. m. In front of her homo, she says, the negro ne-gro seized her. She struggled to get free and he diew a razor. She grabbed grab-bed the razor and in the tussle that followed she says she broke the handle han-dle and that the blade, she thinks, cut tho man's hand. She screamed and ho ran away. Her outer clothing was torn from her In her fight for freedom and she tore a button from the negro's uniform. Word was sent to the f6rt and all negro soldiers were examined for a wound In their hand and they were ordered confined to their quarters. Mrs. Pratt and a party of frlendu wnst o the fort yosterday to look for the negro. She did not find tho man, but all soldiers will be Hned up today to-day and she will try again.
