Show BACK FROM HE EMBNJAHET Hyrum Pingrec, manager of the Ogxlen Furniture company, has returned re-turned f,rom a .successful business trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Chicago, where he spent three weeks Investigating furniture markets and purchasing a stock of goods for the i I home store. Mr. Plngreo states that he found commercial Interests, gonerally, in good condition In the east and that the prospects for this year's business are encouraging. Weather conditions were unfavorable, the temperahiro being as low as 20 degrees above zero which Is quite an unusual thing ' for that part of the country at this time of year. Many new things in the furniture line wore seen by Mr. PIngree and he lost no time In ordering some of them for the Ogden trade. Tho political pot 1b boiling In tho east, but Mr. PIngTee did not have time to pay particular attention to those matters. He states, however, that all sides nre confident of nominating nom-inating their candidate and each thinks hs man is the right one. The Republican nomination rests with La Follette, Roosevelt and President Tnft, prospectH for the lattor being somewhat brighter than for either of tho other two Wilson and Harmon lead for tho nomination In the Democratic Dem-ocratic ranks with nothing deflnlto as to which Is the stronger. oo |
