Took Flom, were held at 2-30 o'clock this afternoon at Lar-kiu Lar-kiu & Sons' funeral chapel, Rev. J. E. Carver officiating. Interment in city cemetery. .' W. "Gwilliam presiding. SLACK Jacob C. Slack, aged G3 years died at Lucin on Saturday and the remains wore brought to this clty yesterday and prepared for burial. Ho was a mining man and made his homo In Brlgham City for several years. Tho body was taken there yesterday and funeral services held in thc aftor-noon, aftor-noon, followed by Interment In tho Brlgham cemetery. MERRIMAN 'Mrs. Mary Meak Mer-rlam, Mer-rlam, mother Qf Mrs. V. E. Bell, died at the home of her daughter at 12:30 o'clock yesterday, following an Illness from hemorrhage of tho brain. She was born in Winds Gate, Ind., and died at the advanced age of 76 years, 7 months and 15 days. Sho hnd resided re-sided in Utah for the past two yonrs. The remains, accompanied by tho Mrs. Bell and her brother, will be shipped over the Union Pacific at 8:30 this fvoning for 'CMntou.
