oo CHILD DIES ESDI SlLLOil MIL A nail which the child swallowed more than a week ago caused the death of Florence R Glbbs, the two-yeaV-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs Hon ry W. Glbbs, of 2o55 Quincy avenue, av-enue, at tho Dee Memorial hospital at 7 o'clock last evening. Death followed an operation which was porformed for tho purpose of removing the nail While playing In the backyard of her home one week ago last Friday the little child found an eight-penny finishing nail. She placed the nail in her mouth a'nd swallowed it. Instead ot passing into the stomach tho nail lodged In the child's throat and yesterday yes-terday she was taken to the hospital to undergo an operation It was found upon reaching tho seat of tho foreign substance that the nail had pierced the windpipe and loft lung. The child succumbed shortly after the operation. The romnlns were removed to the home on Quincy avenue and tho funeral will bo announced an-nounced later oo
