Show oo ALL MURDERERS ARE REPRIEVED Salem, Ore., Jan. 5 Governor West will rprievo all condemned murders until December 13, 1912, which will bo directly after the electors elec-tors of tho state determine at tho polls whether or not tho majority approves 'of capital punishment In reprieving Mike Morgan, under sentence to bo hanged, the -governor set tho first Friday in December, 1912, as the limit of the reprieve, stating, in so doing, that all reprieves Issued botween now and tho November, 1912, election day, would expire on that day. The governor, who opposes capital punishment, will submit an amendment to the present law on that date and urge the death penalty be abolished. |
