Show ;iiiii RABBIT HUNT jBY BUM A! EN Brigham City, Jan. 5. Yesterday seventy men of this city began a rabbit hunt to the western part of the county. Tho move was started some time ago by Senator V. C. Horsley, and a committee, was appointed ap-pointed under the direction of tho Mutual improvement association, which obtained excursion rates over the Southern Pacific from this city to Rozell station, west of Promontory. Promon-tory. E 31. Tyson, manager of tho Inter-mountain Inter-mountain Nursery company, accompanied accompa-nied the hunters and was appointed captain, and had charge of the men while the hunting was in progress. The men were handled in such a way that thero was little danger to life, for the men were divided into squads, and as the country where they hunted is several square, they were scattered over a big area. Rabbits have become so -numerous out In that part of the county that farmers have experienced considerable consider-able loss. |
