With the arrial of Senator La Follette, Medlll McCormlck of Chicago, Chi-cago, a Roosevelt supporter; Ralph Cole, former congressman from Ohio, who Is devoted to the interests of Piesidcnt Taft, and xsith Governor Hiram Johnson, a Roosevelt devotee, on the ground, the indications are that things political will seeth this week. The direct primaries will be held In California on May 14. Senator La Follette has announced that he will not indulge, In "personalities." "personali-ties." As yet he is the only one of the political speakers here to make such a promise. I-a Follette will open his campaign in California on Thursday Thurs-day at Fresno. Governor Johnson is already en-tour for Colonel Rooseelt, Ralph D Colo will address a Taft meeting here tonight, supported by a number of local Taft enthusiasts, and ho is expected to throw down tho gauntlet to Medill McCormlck.
