Some Corrections In Names The name of Mrs. Mary Mack appears ap-pears on tho list of steerage passengers passen-gers from Queenstown: There is no Mrs. N. McMamee but, there is a Neal McNameo on the steerage list. Mary Manlgan Is not on the bookings book-ings but the name of Maggie Madigan Is listed, James Farrel, James Kelly, Reginald Regi-nald Hale, Vaaslllos Catavclas and W D Douglas aro on tho passenger list. William Sage, it Is supposed, Is tho son of John Sage, named with his family in the steerage list- Both fathor and son wero among tho losL Henry P. Hansen and W. Vear are not on the list of passengors. The bodies of the members of the crew sent In tho second list have been Identified and tho names are, therefore, there-fore, correct. Over $15,000,000 In Insurance Insurance men estimate that tho total losses to be paid by the various life, accident and marine companies as a result of the sinking of the Titanic Ti-tanic will reach approximately ?15.-000,000. ?15.-000,000. Two-thirds of this will fall upon the marino insurance companies. Several American companies which did all classes of business have been hard hit, All the marine Insurance was carried aboard, but the rlak is distributed largely jn this country by means of what the Insurance men call "re-insurance" that is, tho company com-pany Issuing the policy re-insured a part of Jts risk in other companies. No Such Parallel In Losses Insurance Field, a trade journal published here, asserts, that "no where in the a,nnais of "insurance is there a parallel for the losses of insured in-sured Hfo apd property occasioned by the sinking of the "Titanic." The journal makes tho following estimates of tho total loss: Life insurance $2,193,000 Accident insurance 2,213,000 Marino insurance (ship).... 5,000,000 Marine insurance (cargq).. 6,000,000 i Total $14,406,000 |
