Show NEW ORDINANCE ON LIQUOR IS PASSED. Salt Lake. April 23. An ordinance fixing the amounts to be paid for liquor licenses was passed by the city commissioners, the recent supreme court decision making all liquor laws Invalid and the city attorney advising tho enactment of nn ordinance to prevent pre-vent possibility of any claim that tho city Is without authority to collect theso licenses. No change is made in the amounts ussessed against the various branches of tho liquor business, busi-ness, although some of the commissioners commis-sioners thought tho amount charged wholesalers should be Increased and this may be dono In the near future Tho license fee3 are as follows- Retailers, Re-tailers, $500 a yoni; wholesalers, $500; distillers, $1,000; druggists, $400; clubs, $400; breweries (not exceeding ex-ceeding 6,000 barrel capacity), $100; biowerios (26,000-barrel capacity), $750; breweries 50,000 barrels), $1,000; breweries (75,000 bairols). $1,750. breweries (exceeding 75,000 barrols), $2,000. |
