Show oo (JOCIETY SURPRISED BY FRIENDS. Ed Stratford, an employe of the Union depot, was surprised by his friends at his home. 20G0 Qulncy avenue, av-enue, Saturday evening. The party was planned b Mrs Stratford, it being be-ing the occasion of her husband's birthday. The "evening was spent In games, music and chatting. A luncheon was served and altogether a very pleasant time was enjoyed. Those present were Mr and Mrs. A. D. Stratford, Mr and Mrs. S J. Grlx, Mr, and Mrs. Parley Salmon, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Hill, Mr. and Mrs Joseph Williams and Miss Edna Wyant. YOUNG PEOPLE'S MEETING The young peoplo of the Baptist church will be entertained tomorrow ovenlng at tho home of MrB. J-. R-Craft, R-Craft, 2555 Fowler avenue. After the business session, a social hour will follow, during which refreshments re-freshments will bo served Miss Charlotte Wetzel of Salt Lake Is tho guest of Mrs. C. M. Carstonsen at her pleasant home on Canyon road. Miss Wetzel Is well known among Ogden's younger social sot, she having hav-ing been on the local teaching staff for two years. Sao leaes soon for Canada, whore she will spend tho winter Miss June and Miss Lois Pierco have Just returned from a delightful visit at Lakeside, Utah, whore they were the guosts of Mrs W. E. Bell, Mrs. J. C. Bell and Donald Bell. |
