Show JJ CMHOT LOCATE VETER AITS FAMILY Efforts mado by the sheriff's office and the members of the Grand Army of tho Republic to locate the relatives of Daniel Elsenhower, tho old veteran who died suddenly a few dayB ago while being cared for by the sheriff. Tolegrams to his former comrados at North Platte, Neb., disclosed tho fact that the deceased veteran had relatives at Harrlsburg. Pa , an 1 immediately im-mediately upon the receipt of this information Sheriff Harrison requested request-ed the authorities at the above place to hunt them up and inform them ot Elsenhower's death and ask instructions instruc-tions as to the disposal of his ro-mnlns. ro-mnlns. A reply was received today from Chiof of Police J. T. Zell stating that tho people could not be located. As Eisenhower had stated to tho sheriff Just before his death that he had been for ninny years a resident of Porthind, Ore., a telegram was sent late last night to tho coast city asking ask-ing the polico and the G. A. Pi posts to look up any friends or relatives he may have there, or any Information that may lead to finding them. If no favorable reply is received from tho above source the local Grand Army post will take charge of the funoral and the remains of the deceased veteran will be laid to rest in their plot at City cemetery. oo |
